Water was clear and stained for the most part with vis to ten + feet in many areas. Temps were steady in the 60 to 62 range. Weeds looking good with some lily pads up and cabbage and coontail at about 60% developement.
Weather was crap on Wednesday cold and light rain all day moved four fish.
Thurs High dry skies and little wind cool to warm at times moved six fish.
Fri more of the same moved another 5 fish with no takers.
Sat. Got up late somebody kept throwing wood on the fire and I couldnt go to bed.
Moved three fish as the weather was intensifying. On the third pass back through one of our newbies in the front of the boat connected with a lightly beat up 40 who took it on the tenth or so figure eight. It was awesome. Ate too much ,unch and saw nada the rest of the day.

Great trip, natural fish in realistic densities give a sense of accomplishment even from a follow.
Friday was mostly a fun fishing day, saw a few fish but nothing very interested. Tyler caught his quota of pike for the year.
Fished with Biologist Patrick Hanchin (Charlevoix) on Saturday morning and we had a few fish to the boat, and missed an upper 30. Ate a big lunch hung out at the pavillion then at Cedars and didn't get much fishing time in after lunch. Tyler caught the "dock bass" just before dark.
Sunday, I slept in because it was about 5 degrees outside. Got dressed warm and went out trolling scrubbing the 12-15 foot breaks. Two hours later on about my fifth lap across the same point caught a 39.

To Kevin (taquito) and David for putting this together again. This event makes me feel good about MMA and what this is all about.
Since I fished the same days in the Lund la Raza low-rider with Taquito, I won't post another report but I would like to make a few of addendums to his.
1. Saw a bunch of little muskies (14-24"ers) swimming in the shallows and channel areas, that was really a great sight on these self-sustaining low density waters.
2. Lakes were a total mad house the first two days, saw two other boats each day and one of those each day was Kmur.
3. Moved some nice fish all week, most were slow and lazy. I think I was more excited when Ron, fishing ski's for his second time in his life moved a hot fish, came back on another pass and brought it up again and again on figure 8's and stuck with it finally paying off on the 10th plus figure 8, then I would have been if I caught any of the other followers(except maybe one
)
Tyler caught the "dock bass" just before dark.
Awesome! Would've liked to see him catch the fish his dad couldn't get to go. But once again a Pimp and -Lunge(Taquito) trip is cut short by the grim reaper. 🙁
THANKS!
