Fished Intermediate today with Muskypimp now to be known as
musky-swing-and-miss 😈 Somebody wasnot able to administer the cheese even though he had three solid chances. I on the other hand was able to connect on a bass and a monster 21" pike
Moved a fatty in the narrows on Hanley- may be the same fish I saw on the opener.
Water was 59.8 to 61.7 very lightly stained with visibility to ten feet. Wind got pretty heavy and clouds rolled in but no luck. Cabbage is up to about 2 feet coontail the same good growth and should be perfect for the outing.
Saw one other musky boats with some amateurs form Muskegon (I know Mike wont see this for at least a few days!!) We split a drift on Ellsworth Lake and they definitely got the better side of that deal
I will let them tell you about that.
All in all a good day saw five Muskies and lost/failed to hook three. Fish are not real boat shy and all but one were good size- upper end was probably a high to mid forties.

After we ate supper we went back to the cabbage and worked it with claws and bucktails cranes and most everything we had. She just would not show herself again. I snapped on a perch Weagle and long bombed one out past the entire cabbage bed and got the death march going. The bait went sub surface like a Wabull and a 41 crushed it dead center in the bed. Man I thought it was the queen as the water went white. It was a pretty thick 41 with some spawn damage. We saw this fish on the other side of the lake that morning. Got some pics of it. Went to Elsworth and Wilson for the final day and had a 38 miss a little claw on the second twitch and drilled it several twitches later. net pic only. so we ended up with 4 including the little 18 incher on the perch rig. 18,31,38,41. Thanks again for the encouragemant to stay another day. It was worth it. Kingfisher
