Arrived Friday around noon, got unpacked and headed up to Wilson, winds were from the Northwest and surface temps were 58. Saw Dan and Ann on the North end, started quickly working our way down the Eastern shoreline with hair and crankbait keeping the boat in the 12' zone. The guy in the back of the boat hooked up with a pretty beat up 48" at 3:20 on a chart/black mepps marabou, couple pics and a fin clip and back she went. Nothing the rest of the day except for a couple snakes.
Slid out Saturday morning about 7:30 went back up to Wilson, not much going but more snakes and a good largemouth. Fished Hanley a little on the way to the outing lunch, moved a really scarred up and paranoid 45-46" fish on a Big Game Twitch. After lunch moved another 38-40, would not go. headed back to Wilson with the front moving in and had a dumb one come halfway out of the water attacking my burned musky killer from the side. Told Muskydan where and he had most likely the same fish crunch his Weagle but did not get hooks.
Sunday brought terrible winds and cold, fished the North end of Ben Way in front of the cabin piked up a couple pike on a jig n' reaper. As a side note the guys in the cabin next to us came down from the Soo ( Starcraft C-star) they collected some very nice walleye's up to 8lbs. on Ben Way.
