Heck with the weatherman. The lousy storm and rain predictions turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. Wind S-SW, water 65-degrees. We started trolling straight line from E of Belle River, past Stoney Point, and past Thames River. Six hits, landed 5. Three fish were in mid 30s" and two fish mid 40s", all released safely. There were four of us fishing and I chose to fish last rotation. My plan worked. My three cohorts all landed their first muskies ever!

To be fair, I was not the guide on this chartered trip, but I did convince a friend to go with us that had been trying for several years to get his first muskie. A LSC charter is the surest way to get the first muskie under the belt. After that stigma is off, then go enjoy the rest of the state fishery. We fished with Tom Loy Bigfish Charters <url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]

On the way home coming down Lansing 127 we passed Tippers at 7:10PM. My cohorts were tired and anxious to get home. I just couldn't get them to stop by the MMA meeting. Darn, I was really interested in all the club news that is happening right now. I can bet though that my cohorts of the day will end up joining MMA in time.
