Had Chris Drury (Witchdoctor) from VooDooTails in the boat for 2.5 days of casting.

Water temp 60-62, clear to stained. Got on the water at 3:30 and fished until 7:00. Moved fish on jerks and cranks primarily but also missed one on a topwater. Lost/missed two and caught three – 41, 43, 45.

Water temp 58-60, clear to stained. Fished 7:30 – 7:00. Moved a bunch of mid-40" fish and lost/missed a couple. Moved fish on cranks and rubber mostly. Four in the net – 42, 41, 43, 44. Lost one well over 50" and probably closer to 55 than 50 – heartbreaker.

Water temp 57-60, clear to stained. Fished 7:30 – 7:00. Wind was strong and stronger turning the water dirty but also concentrating the fish. Moved a bunch of fish with one about 52-53. Witchdoctor shook the funk off and put one, then two, then three, then four in the net. Busy day for the Beckman – 37.5, 38, 41, 41, 42, 47.5 and 51.5
Witchdoctor and his bent fish. Amazing that this fish was healthy and fought hard.

Should have been Witchdoctor's 51.5! After he netted her he told me that it was the biggest fish he'd ever netted and that he was $hitting Eggrolls as she was sliding toward the net. Next time man… I won't fish and I'll just point and say cast there… and be proud to net your 50+.
