Fished from 9:45 am to 5:30 pm
Water — 58-61 °F, brown stained, ~30" visibility
Weeds — lots of crunchy green healthy coontail in 8-15 ft, some duckweed in places, not much algae
Weather — started clear about 45 °F, later became overcast ~60 °F winds calm.
Saw fish at the surface here and there; no follows; boated one fat 38" male, my first Thorn musky . 😀
It was good meeting you out there, Hemi! I got one about 36" after we last talked, had some other contact as mentioned. One near dark seemed like a real brute, hit about midway back, didn't get a good look but the power and weight of the strike almost brought me to my knees…was she the Thorn girl of my dreams? I'll never know, but we know what the lake holds so I'll keep trying…
It was about my 5th time there… on two visits I caught pike, the other two I got bupkiss.
