I got there between 8:30 and nine to find both parking areas full. Someone had left a wedge of an opening near the road so I pull in as far as i could. After I launched, a ski group dragged a trailer of a truck to the side so they had a spot. I was bummed at that. Thought we had the lake w/o the skiers. I did not see a thing. Bright and sunny. I had to get off the water @ 1:30 as the sun was getting painful. And today is cloudy. [smilie=brickwall.gif] It was a nice day to be out, light winds.
That azz parked his truck there at 6:50 am, launching just before us, and blocking several parking spots. He was launched and gone before we knew about it.
As I've said before, you will frequently meet the most accomplished idiots at boat launches. 🙄
Jim tenHaaf (whose boat I was in) had ten-ish follows, Fred Becchetti (who jumped in our boat around noon) caught a 30" 'ski, and I boated a 30" pike at sunset.
