Friday- Dont know the temp since i was in a metal boat at my cousins, but fished for about 3 hours and had 2 follows, 40 plus followed my chatterbait but with the clear water it got scared easily. Heading back in the morning to try in the rain for a little bit

9/13
Fished from 730 to about 11, raised 10 fish to the boat. Had a nice one hit on a figure 8 but he came off as he went ballistic after he touched the bucktail. Towards the back of the SW bay off a point we got 6 fish to follow in one area. They were different fish obvious size differences. Also durin all this rain we saw a lot of big muskies surfacing? Anyone know why they were doing this. They would slowly surface with their fins out of the water then go back under and come back up.

heh.. as much as id like to think so there arent any 40+ inch gar surfacing, unless u are just being sarcastic but it was pretty easy to tell it was a musky u could see its whole side.

Not being sarcastic.Just throwing it out there. Murray at times gets ALOT of gars surfacing in packs/schools sometimes by the dozens. We have even had them chase muskie lures right to the boat.

Well we saw them on the north end do it once, then over the shallow flat with the reeds off that point is where the rest of them were. One time i was maybe 15 or so feet from it and i could clearly tell it was a musky. My friend then casted his DCG right in front of it and had one follow that i would assume was the one. Ive seen them surface like that in canada, but there are also a lot of fish around the surface that we were spookin the night before, possibly rock bass or blue gills.

Yesterday, on Murray we witnessed the gar surfacing towards the northeast part of the lake. We also moved one muskie that was mixed in with them, but the majority of the fish were gar.
