I also fished murray from 6-10:30
Contacted 4 fish from 6:10-7. Netted one 39" at 6:15. She was HOT! Came out of nowhere after my L-turn. Lure was out of the water and she swiped at it. As she swam away, I cast back 20' in front of her and about 8' to one side. A couple of twitches and she whipped around and took it full force. Then about 45 min. later, had another come up from a deep weed edge. Again from out of nowhere. Even this clear water, never saw her coming. She was so FAST! She almost ran into the boat, missed the lure, and I swear she glared at me almost like saying "Ah!!! almost got me on that fake fish!" And I kid you not, I have never seen a fish this big in Murray. I knew they were in there, but this one left me shaking and smoking 4 cigarettes in a row. Took me right back to my day at Webster.
