Fished 6p-12a with Moski
Water temp: 70-72
Water clarity/color: Clear… too clear.
Weed growth: Looks good but still seems a little behind.

Why TOO clear? I can never see follows because it is too green. I'd better get over there right quick!

Clear water = spooky fish and usually a first and last light bite.

In stained and dirty water you aren't going to see as many fish but the fish are more cooperative. I'll take turbid, stained or an algae bloom over clear any day.

…And those of us who live by Clinton county's radio active water (Duke-speak) will take Murray-clear water any day! 😀

Nah, not me… I love a good algae bloom! Green water = BIG fish.

Hah! Yeah; sometimes the algae floating on Ovid is so thick it looks like you could walk on it, and is such a shocking green color you can imagine that it would glow in the dark! 😯

Some of us purists just prefer the challenge of the clear water, we don't want our muskies to come too easily [smilie=brows.gif]
