[quote="swanezy"]ur quick at posting will, i just edited that post, on the link someone posted earlier in the thread saying they use it to find bodies of water. I clicked on that and searched the long lake on there, and only one comes up for St joseph county, and when u click on that it says only walleye and catfish are in long lake. But then when I look through that DNR stockin link you posted the other day there are 2 long Lakes, one in Colon township and one in Fabius? or however it spelled, and the fabius one says there are muskies and the colon one is the one that says only walleyes. So i dont know if the lakes are 2 separate lakes or what?

Yes, two totally different lakes.

I forget the exact number but I thought I was told there are somewhere around 250 Long Lakes in Michigan.

To illustrate Will's point:

If you take the 190 (south)radial from the lake Hemi displays you will find another Long Lake approx. 10 miles south. Take the 115 (east)radial from hemi's display and you will hit another Long Lake approx 20 miles? as the crow flies. Very confusing because the DNR's links are incorrect on several of their references….

Tom's display is the 06 12 07 Long lake.

That lake is fairly close to where I live 😛

You'll know you have the right one when you spot the prominent KTD sign at the ramp. [smilie=2thumbsup.gif]

Been wanting to check it out for a couple of years now. Every lake is can be tough, just have to get the jump on a weather system, night fish, or a dreary warm front day in October as king mentioned [smilie=2c.gif]
