Fished with Jasonvkop today at Austin from 5:30am to 11am. I had a great time with Jason even though we couldn't get any strikes, and we topped it off with an Extra large New Yorker pizza at Erbelli's just down the road, yum! We had 76 degree water temp, good weed growth, moved some fish on a Hughes River. Jason had a huge follow come shooting out after his Jake, which startled us both, luckily he was able to pull his lure away from it…it was a giant Leatherback turtle but this thing was on it!
We saw Rad Dawg out there, and we also saw Shane Blahunka catch and release a 44-incher.
Got to go out twice today, First time was early this mornin with one of the fellas from work. Dave had a NICE one hit on a manta @ about 8 this mornin. We also had two other fallows. I also saw Shane and looked like some other muskie nuts out there.
Then I went out with my son Justin from 6:45 to 9:50. Saw nothing but Bass untill 8:50 I hooked up with a nice fat 41". Justin did an awsome job with the net. I am trying to get the photo up on the post. I will see if I can figure it out.
