I hit the lake from early AM, until about 12:30pm. I could not dig up a fishing partner, so the kid's went along for the day. Water looked good, no temp, but felt warm. With a little help from my crew we broke one rod, and went thru about 200 yard's of power pro. no fish, but we still gave it a shot!
Likewise, I was also on Murray early Saturday morning. I went 0 for 6 hours. Water temp was 67 degrees. The only action I had was when I lost my new Slasher lure (which I just got from Kingfisher) on a submerged raft anchor, needless to say the raft or at least a bouy wasn't there to mark its location.
Better luck next time.

HI MIKE,
YOU CAN TRY IF YOU LIKE, I'D RATHER HAVE ANYONE FROM THE CLUB FIND THAT LURE THEN HAVE THE RAFT OWNER RECOVER IT.
I WISH I HAD MY GPS CO-ORDINATES, BUT HERE IS MY BEST DESCRIPTION:
WEST SIDE OF THE CAUSEWAY, SOUTH SIDE OF THE LAKE, EAST OF THE CHANNEL THAT RUNS BEHIND THE SMALL ISLE NEAR THE MARINA, DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE LARGEST TWO STORY HOUSE ON THE SOUTH SHORE (COLOR?), 20-25 FOW.
IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY THERE WAS ANOTHER RAFT BETWEEN ME AND THE INLET CHANNEL-ONLY IN SHALLOWER WATER.
GOOD LUCK FISHING, FOR BOTH MUSKIES & LURE.
BY THE WAY, OTHER THEN KEVINS METHOD, WHAT LURE RETRIEVER TO YOU RECOMMEND?
THANKS,
JOHN D
Sounds like its off shore a ways. That will be a tough one. Ill dredge over there a bit with some heavy stuff. The lure retriever I built is a 12 inch diameter stainless steel ring made from 1/4 inch rod. it has 10 1 foot lengths of chain welded to it around the ring. I tie it to the anchor rope and slide the rod and reel through the ring. Then let it follow the line down to the lure and snag. Jig it until it hooks the lure or what ever it gets. Pull it up with the anchor rope. Most of the time it straightens out a hook or two. One time I pulled up a log with several other lures on it. Bonus. If I get it back for you Ill send it to you. Mike
