Fished today with Dad from 630am-1pm
temps were from 72.5* start to 75* or so at end.
Weeds looked good, water was pretty clear.
Once again …how I love these lakes with fish….lol
fish seen 21
fish boated by Dad 3 casting, 1 trolling (biggest was 39")
fish boated by Me 7 casting, none trolling (biggest was 45.5")

It was my Dad's best muskie day, Nice to see him get out and boat some fish and have fun after breaking his ankle in early June so bad and not knowing if he would walk, or walk well at all anymore, and he did just fine…Not too shabby for just turning 61.

there were a lot of panfisherman out there, as it's rumored that they are doing well for crappie. We only seen one other muskie boat, Dad just released a 35" or so, didn't measure, tossed it back, then was casting when this other muskie boat trolled to within 10ft or so of us… when they had the rest of the lake… not very polite…grrr after they went around a point, had a follow of a nice fish, didn't go on the fig 8, 3 cast later landed her, 45.5" biggest of the year for me. Rest of mine were all like 32" range, never measured, just water released em'. Dad ended up with 2 about 35" and one at 39". I only took a pic of the 45.5" and all of Dad's. Only pic i can post is the only dig pic we took, one of his 35"ish fish. Rest are on my trusty kodak 10 dollar throw away camera..haha

since a few were curious what i used today, its no secret really, and i don't mind dishing …. I threw a 9" bulldawg in cisco color/12"mag dawg in holo walleye, and 10" jake that mike king painted for me. My dad only threw 2 lures, white grim reaper spinner bait – no fish, and a rapala super shad in bluegill color, all his fish came on that. only tip i can give is that the rap's hooks stink, i put vmc's on there.

Holy crap, double digit 'skis boated in a day, and not on St. Clair…awesome! That's like a quadruple double, or a no hitter, or a hole in one or something. Congrats to you and your dad!
