Looked like a muskie day 4-sure but all the kid
could manage was a couple blow-ups on topwater.
Niether fish appeared to be very large. One cartwheeled
right out of the water.
Temps were around 78 during the late afternoon
dropping to around 75 at dusk.
Water had lots of crap/weeds floating on top.
Quite a few MMA guys out there spearheaded by the Prez
who I saw get a nice fish.
And can ya believe it,……..I didnt get rained on!!!
The clouds grew very dark out there though.
fished murray from 4-9pm. Missed two, saw two others all on a suzy sucker. The first miss was a very nice fish, didnt see the second one. The first one scared me half to death; I was jerking in the sucker when I noticed it had a weed on it. The bait was about 5 feet away from the boat and I gave a hard jerk to get the weed off. Sure enough right when that happen a nice 42-44" comes out of no where and crushes the bait from underneath. I set the hook, the fish shakes its head and the bait goes flying.
Yep, lots of pressure last night for sure. I'm to the point where I hope that I don't have the lake to myself anymore because everyone else leaves fish where I can pull in behind and catch them. I caught fish in three spots last night immediately after another boat just fished through. It was like T-ball…
yah… it was a long day… luckily fellow MMA member Brandon Donahue met me at the launch at 4pm to keep me motivated the rest of the day. The sun was a killer yesterday.
My one fish came on the 4th cast with the new little ACE glide bait I picked up in the MMA Auction… of course I already knew they caught fish since I owned one already… but thats why I got it!
