We arrived at 6:20 am to find the lake to ourselves. I like those odds. We went to several areas and started moving fish right away on Bucktails but they seemed to be in a chase mode not a feed mode. At 8:45 I changed up and started testing my new 7.5 inch Claw prototypes. We started down a nice weed line near the Dam when on my first cast with a new Fireperch Claw the water exploded on my second twitch. On the end was my best Musky ever from Austin a nice 40/41 incher. I will post a picture at the Photo page of the lure in the mouth. Testing of the new Claws went into High gear then with my wife moving several nice fish with a Dog Turd colored Claw prototype with a missed hook set. Michelle was at a disadvantage all day as she is suffering from a torn rotator cup( right shoulder). She had two others miss the lure completely but blowing up the water. Water temps were at 75/76 . Fish were locating on defined weed edges . There was a light stain to the lake and not as clear as normal but still pretty clear. Around 12:30 the Claw struck again as a 35 incher ate it near the two deep spots. All in all we moved over a dozen Muskies caught two big Bass and two nice Muskies. All 4 fish were taken on my new 7.5 inch prototype Talonz Claw. I will have to start production of this lure in the Fall. We met Jason and his dad at the launch when we were coming in . Nice guys both of them. I hope our advice helped them score. Mike and Michelle
