Met NSTAGATOR and hit the water in his fine Lund about 7 AM until 2 PM then raced 40 miles back home to be dissappointed by the Red Wings game! Anyway, had fun casting mostly a Mepps Marabou, Rattlin Shad, and Troll Devle under mostly sunny skies with the water temps going from 57 to 60 by afternoon. Light to moderate wind ESE. Saw 4 fish: 2 follows, 1 small one just under 30 boated, and a frisky 40 class high flyer that left the hooks behind. All were weed oriented in 3 to 7 fow. Saw nothing in the river. The weeds were fairly well developed for this time of the year. Made me wonder what it'll be like in another couple months at this rate. Enjoyed using my new ABU RECORD models 50 and 60 for the first time. Saw Charlie and son as well as Chris and Chad on the water as well. Nice conditions for the opener!
