Water temp 79-82, weeds declined a bit since last time or water was up some, not sure, but not as topped out. Clarity decent for Thorn in mid-summer. Wanted to try musky with the cooler water this week but it wasn't as cool as I'd hoped. And this lake whipped me again, tried a peak time and with a full moon, but it was sunny and mostly calm too, weather seems to trump solunar stuff it seems. Today would have been better weather but I still suck on that lake, no excuses. Managed one decent pike trolling. Did lots of that including over open water which I hear is worth a go there as well as near edges, and tried to root something out of thick weeds casting in case some were in there. 9 hours or so from 12:30 to dark and no sign of a muskie, thank heavens for pike.
