Not one to rant…………..LOL..But I`m still numb.Fished 4-10pm.Water 76 and a lot of crap floating,just have to find some clear spots and a little wind/current.Slung hellhounds,weagles around shoreline breaks moved at least 15 fish,all 25-30",maybe two around 32ish.All lazy,except on…..scratchin me head.All shoreline cover.Switched over to trolling and got a good one on a tuff shad in front of a bunch of gals on a pontoon party cruise.They stopped and watched.I had fun with the fish,and we talked for awhile. 😯 Went back to casting weagles and twin teasertails,lost one on a weagle,then another one.One was NICE.Decided to go to the locomotive.Moved about 3 more fish,then I had a bruiser snap at the teasertail,knock it out of the water,I1m still doing nuthin wrong,still in the line of attack…….scarfed at it like an alligator…missed it…….still coming after it and I took it away from it…GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR…THICK ONE.Finally figured out the topwater prop baits……don`t even look till you feel something 🙄 Got a small one around 9:30 that knocked the bait and itself into airborne.Then totally wasn`t expecting anything else when about 10 casts later….about 3 xcranks on the locomtive and it disappears with a splash.That`s the way it`s supposed to happen.Nice thick 43+"ski.Some people don`t need weather to put fish in the boat…….me……I NEED WEATHER.Finally a perfect night with perfect musky weather.Could have stayed all night,but after the last release….my auto pilot stopped working,and my motor cranked over ………..pause………pause….Maybe time to leave and not over stay my welcome on devils night………………sorry to ramble…but could have been one of my best nights/days out.Could have been 3 over 40 in the net but I screwed up.Oh well time for some eggs/bacon and a cocktail and off to bed…. 😀
