Michelle and I started the new year in our canoe. We followed a small creek into a hard to access small lake near Holton. We did a little ice breaking to reach the open water but it was thin and we glided right thru. We used ultra light spinning tackle with 2 lb line and tiny bobbers. Spike worms were the ticket on small tear drops. We found nice perch and Blue Gills in 3 to 6 feet of water relating to nice green weeds. 17 nice eaters for the morning. Fish dinner that night.
