Fished Budd today on the Ice. Michelle and I set three tip ups rigged with Suckers and Perch. Then we Took turns jigging Fuzzy Duzzits and a bunch of different soft plastics including 6" Charlies which were surprising when verticle jigged. No Muskies came to play but Michelle had some fun catching Perch . We worked an area known to hold some big fish very near deep water. I set up on 4 different depths hoping to catch a transitioning deep water fish . We were on the perch But the muskies were not. Oh well, Icing Skis is not easy as we all know. Budd lake gets more traffic in the winter than the summer. There is not a no wake limit during the winter and snomobiles were hitting speeds of over 100 mph as they raced across the lake all day. There was hardly an inch of snow on the lake that was not packed down from Snomobile tracks. Man I thought Jet skis were bad. Some of them went right thru our tip up spread. Kind of rude if you ask me. We were even off the main straight and still got buzzed. Oh well, looking for warmer weather to the south. Kingfisher
