Fished Budd from 8:30am-12:30pm

Water temp: 74 (surface)
Water clarity/color: So clear it was freaky….
Weed growth: Some blooms floating around
Weather: 80 degrees with sunny blue sky

Fish seen or caught: One follow on a bucktail.

Hound, Bucktails work well on this lake. You should also try browns and tans . We do well with Black blade-brown hair and black trailor grub. It seems that spinners just get more attention on Budd. I have caught several on Little claws there as well in Tan and brown perch and Copper scale over brown carp patterns. S.S.Shads in brown and yellow. It is a clear lake so go with natural colors and lots of black. Kingfisher

Have also had a lot of action on Bulldawgs there, have not fished it in a few years though.

Thanks guys. I have a black bulldawg in my box. I need to learn to cast it better however, it hits the water with all the grace of a cow dropped from a helicopter.
