Water temp 78, clear, less weeds than expected, hadn't visited this lake in a while. Less weed debri floating around was helpful, and less boat traffic than I thought on this day, very nice. Fished with MuskyTom, we had some action, clouds and drizzle helped, it seems like every chance I've had to fish musky this season has been sunny and calm, which for my limited abilities is usually tough going. Tom is great to fish with and has some very cool lures I don't have but get to learn something about (now if I can only confiscate a couple when he's not looking…).
I'm hoping more guys will post brief, even if vague, reports on their trips, I have to think more of us are getting out in this area and others than it appears from this very valuable part of the web page. I post most of my musky attempts out of appreciation for the info I get from other posts (even if just conditions), but am starting to wonder if I should bother if not many others are going to?

I hear what you're saying and I have to admit I'm guilty of not creating many posts about my trips. I should do it more often because I too really appreciate the info from our fellow musky guys. I also want to add that I would guess that there aren't as many of us getting out this time of year during the heat of July and August. For example, I have put my boat away since early July – and I'm a guy who gets out every week in the spring and fall. I'm guessing there will be plenty more posts from everyone come September or October. I'll try to do my part.
