Nice fish Dan. I think that's the biggest one I've heard from there since we started fishing it after the initial planting. Is that correct…..anyone? I'm curious, for that length, was it in good shape…..skinny or well proportioned? Also, I know what you mean about the weeds. I was there last 2 weeks ago for the first time this year and found it difficult to troll until I got use to where all the huge weed density was.

That 44 is the current lake record for a pure muskie, as far as I know too. Congrats! The reason for the weed disappearance is simple though- alien crop circles. No actually, they do mechanical weed removals out there- I think they are planning to construct a ski hill on the property with all of the weeds they pull!!
