The personal fisherman's almanac told me this might be the last time lures see water in '05, so it was off to the lake for the afternoon. Fished about 3.5 hours in light to heavy rain and 15+ mph SSE wind. Water looked great until you touched it, about 35. Pete managed the last taker of the year on a Triple D after a loooong boatside chess match (with the wind drifting us along), fish was about as many inches as degrees in the water temp. One follow and one other hit that didn't find hooks. Tough to fish as slow as they wanted with the wind blowing as hard. If this does close the books on the year, sad but it was a good one over all!…
