Weeds: Huge beds of Milfoil all over the lake

First time fishing Ovid and it took a little getitng used to. Didnt see anything for a long time so decided to move up close to the weeds and see if i could draw something out. Finally made contact with a fish around 2:30 when a little guy swiped at my twitchbait but didnt get on the hooks. Moved to the north end of the lake and fished the weed beds up there and got a low 30s on a twitch baits. About 20 minutes later joel got a little guy on a jerkbait near the spillway. Saw two other fish, both low 30s. Very cool lake and would have to see what it looks like during the summer but I for sure will be fishing it more often. Didnt see anything over 35" today though so will have to work on locating bigger fish.
