Water temp about 47, looked like 3' or more of good clarity to me, weeds seasonal I guess, this was my only visit here so far this fall. Had 3 low 30 inch range by mid-day, including a tagged one (#47-007), that was pretty cool. Had other contact including missing a big gal nip on an 8, then couldn't get much going the rest of the day. Saw Pete and Duke, they seemed to be doing well here as usual, my hunch is they boat many, many nice muskies on this lake. Thanks guys for the assist on the snag too, much appreciated!

Cool! Nice fishing!

Please remember to report your re-capture of the tagged fish.

It was a beautiful day to be on the water, then again they ALL are if the fish are cooperating! We had plenty of chances but would have traded them all for the one fish you raised Joe… all fish we contacted were 40 and under…

3 fish day sounds like a great time! Way to go. Did you manage to get the other 2 tagged?

With that good cold water I should've held them in the water or livewell a bit to found Duke and Pete (though technically it would be illegal to do so, unless we get a pass for the tagging process). So I played it safe and let 'em go right away…it was just good to boat a few instead of my usual ultra-conservationist approach of letting them go before or just after they hit.

Good choice! Unless you have a scientific collector permit you can't legally hold an undersize fish.
