First time at this lake, liked the features, not the low-vis water color. Water temp 64-68 degrees, warming all day, fished most of it. Had decent action, nice strong fish in my opinion. Seems to be plenty of areas with potential for a lake this size, looking forward to another visit. Going without advance info and not seeing well into the water, I kept running into shallow weeds trolling and casting, but I liked finding these spots, just wish I didn't ruin them with bad boat control.

Hadn't posted in a while since I've been after pike mostly, and they've been cooperative on the rivers. Did manage one decent muskie topwater at Austin a few weeks back, and got skunked at Osterhout except for a dink about two weeks ago. The rest of this season will probably alternate muskie and pike days so will hopefully post more…as long as I catch a few muskies…
