Water temp: 73 surface
Water clarity/color: Clear
Weed growth: Weeds to the top in a few places including floating junk
Went out of Selfridge on our first trip to LSC. Underestimated the drive time so we ended up fishing 9:30am – 4:30pm. Between 10:00am and 11:00am we had two follows and saw two other fish that ignored us completely. After that nothing.
Heavyhound, Wow… pretty crazy but I fished St. Clair also for the first time on 6/25, and out of Selfridge.
Fished from 7:00am-4:00pm. First 2 hours (until sun got warm and a breeze picked up) there were more insects than I have ever witnessed. Good thing they weren't biting us, but there was a mayfly hatch, and couple other hatches that resulted in a lack of being able to breath without getting bugs in the mouth.
Water surface temp: 71.5-77
Water stained to clear depending on location.
Lots of floating junk.
Trolled around trying to pinpoint spots and just get used to the BIG water and didn't any rips.
Decided to move up near the Salt River outlet to cast and began contacting fish. All fish seen were relating to weeds in 5.5-7.5 feet of water.
Had 3 fish go after bucktails with a 40" missing completely, and two smaller fish striking (no hooks) and following to the boat. Moved two other fish on bucktails with the biggest fish of the day being maybe 42"
This water is definitely a whole different ballgame than the small waters I am used to… almost overwhelming. Had a great time though!!!

That's where we spent most of the day. I was probably within shouting distance of you at some point. 😯 We were casting out of a Black and Silver Alumacraft.
We really enjoyed it but man that's a lot of water to figure out. Give me a shout if you go back.
