Got one 24" pike. But the day started out strange. First off this isn't fiction!
Was on the ice at 7:15 using flashlight, figured I get them all set before it was light out. Couldn't find my weighted alligator clips, so I was using the weight of the hook, leader and lead core sinker to get the depth. Wasn't getting a good feel for the bottom, don't know if I was on weeds or what. (Was in 15' of water) Trying to get the depht, I guess I was kind of jigging, when bang something hits my BARE hook!! Get it up and I have a 7" Crappie, I couldn't believe it. (has anyone done anything like this?) Turned around and used this Crappie for bait and didn't get anything. And before you ask I wasn't fishing in Area 51. Steve [smilie=smoke.gif]
