Edenville to talk about lake weeds
Treatment programs on Sanford Lake have been a hot topic in Edenville Township. With a program cycle ending, board members must decide if they want to stay with the Sanford Lake Improvement Board, which administers the current weed control program, pursue a program of their own or do nothing.
Two tours were organized recently, one of Sanford Lake and one of Gladwin County's Secord Lake, where board members and citizens compared the two recreational bodies of water.

FYI all, Edenville has opted out of the Sanford Lake Improvement Board and will be considering its own weed treatment program. As Edenville was the largest contributor to the SLIB it remains to be seen what will happen as a result. I for one am opposed to the weed program as it is currently implemented by the SLIB so I'm personally happy that my township is taking a fresh look at the program.
