fished sanford with my father today from noon until 5pm in front of 2nd fill dad raised a big fish…i mena big BIG BIG BIG we got a good luck as it came in hot on his retrieve, dad was throwing a grim reaper spinner bait in chart. my dad did his best motified figure 8's , fish kept fallowing for a while, then stopped, made a waypoint, threw back to the spot 2 times, no more fallows. After dad changed his panties from filling them..lol we moved down the weedbed. i got a 2lbs bass on a weagle….yea, the weagle could have ate the bass…lol Went into 1st fill dad caught 3 bass under some docks with bass tackle. Then i got a 28" fat pike on a 8" firetiger jake by end of the fill. We went back down to first spot where we raised the fish after nothing on other parts of the lake.
Dad was tossing a bluefox black and nickel 6"bucktail, i was throwing a weagle. On the 3rd or 4th weagle cast, dad and i seen something we have never seen that was badasssssss..lol a LARGE fish came to surface and was "snaking" after it, darting tail sticking a lil out of water, i plunged the rod and start a twitching circle and there she was , gertha had followed in again, fish was still hot and chasing, i kept going fish would disapear and reapear. I threw back in a tiger tube and fish chased that for a sec, i thought she bumped it, i started to do some faster 8's twitching and she appeared again and whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammoo!
Grabbed on at boatside and thrashed and thrashed…giant head on this fish, i was thumbing it and it was going absolutely ape nuts at side of boat. As my father was scurring trying to get the net he looked over and ……she tossed the bait.. You guys know how sick that makes you feel? I threw my rod down and just sat down for like 5 mins..
I am not joking….this fish was a ligit 50" class fish, by far the biggest I have ever seen fishing. the head was so big…and it had lots and lots of girth. Mothers day….not bryan's ** you do not have permission to see this link **
