We could only fish for 3 hours from noon to 3:00 PM. Decided to troll, after having learned the weed boundaries 2 weeks ago. Picked up 5 musky between 1:00 and 2:30 PM on the west shore using Loke $9 Bass Straight crank baits. Fish hit on short lines close to the boat. No fish on other colors or lures.
Saw you guys out there Saturday, good job. Greg Mochty and I fished from 7:45 am until 2:15 pm. We raised 3 fish casting including a nice one in the lower 40's who liked a custom painted Motes Grandma. We also trolled up 3 (28, 28, 29) on various frog and perch paterned jointed Trinities. My first time on Ovid. Not real hard to figure out and it was fun to get so much action even if most of the fish were on the small side.
