Went over to Ovid from about 6:00 pm till dark. Saw some people from MMA out fishing to. The DNR was out checking boats too. Water was greenish brown about 12 in of vis. Temp was 74-76. Trolled around. Fred I dont know whats up? Got 3 fish on slashers. Not big muskies in the 30 icnh class. All on the custon color that Kingfisher made me. Put a new fule line on the boat to and it working better now. Was sucking air some place but now it trolling like a champ. Fred I'm going to Ovid Wensday night after work you want to go?

The other MMA boat targeted fish tight to the weeds in the shallows, but did not find any bigger fish either. Several small fish swiped at bucktails and TopRaiders, landed one on each.

Thats encouraging news..Was there some rain up there recently ??
That would have flushed the lake to a large extent.(+ normal flow..is it on Maple river?? )..The day I was there
it hadnt rained much for a week or so and had been a big weed die off earlier ..so algae/etc..just accumulated…
(May see you there Wed afternoon after 3 or so if I can shake free..Ill be there in cartop boat..casting mostly..trying some new spinner baits Ive made it up…semi weedless.. single hook+stinger /small blade/ foil flash..like a Rad Dog..)

Hopefully water will continuw to clear up(and cool down) ..get back to its normally good state..( 2 ft+ visibilty often)

Now if the bigger fish will come out and play..

It rained some on Saterday up my way. I got a new fish finder and I was watching it last night and it seem to show at lot more stuff flooting in the cold creek bed later at night when the boat traffic was less. I dont know if that has more current flow out of the lake that way or not? If it seddels down and moves out that way. Maybe Will can tell us some stuff about water flow in lakes like that.

Thanks LeMay OUT
