Yeah, 2 years ago Brunner had a sign at his Booth at the Novi Fishing Expo that said "hand shakes, $5". Haven't you ever seen his Blue Polyester Jacket?? On the back it has something to the effect of " legendary hall of fame etc…
Then you got guys like Schram stating his net worth of $600k and stating he's the new voice of fishing. Priceless!!

I laugh every time I see that jacket. HAHA. Schram the new voice of fishing? If he's the new voice of fishing, I'm having my eardrums removed.
Yeah! Schram so reminds me of the fake and phony person thats's trying to build himself up and be in the spotlight by hanging around the big names. I've read his posts on LSC.net. No real substance, all fluff! Read them and draw your own conclusions.
Maybe Bob Brunner will pass on his coveted jacket to Schram one day. Now that would be a hoot!
So I skimmed through a lot of the thread on LSC because I was bored but I found it hilarious that once Will stepped in Schram was pretty quiet. Apparently I've missed a lot because I don't even know who this guy is, and he's supposed to be the voice of our sport? This guy really has an overinflated sense of himself and he's got his nuts twisted spewing all this BS as fact. I may sign up on LSC just to read more of his ridiculous posts. Sorry about the rant, I'm a little fired up over the union stuff going on right now. [smilie=biggrin.gif]
Oh and by the way, whoever Pikescale is he is the man. I can't believe the way Schram thinks he can threaten other clubs because he knows people. Who the heck is Pete Maina to Michigan anyway? No one. To be honest with you, I had no idea who Bob Brunner was before this either so I guess he's not as big as he thinks he is and Schram is just a legend in his own mind. Sorry again for the rant.

This will not have a happy ending. It's challenging to have that many stupid people in one place but LSCN manages to do it. The truly sad part is the impact these people have on such a great fishery.

Poor Brad Moskal (Moski Lures) had BS Bob as his neighbor at the Michigan Muskie Show. All I can say is that the only thing that would have been worse is if it were BS Bob AND Schram next to him.

What I've heard him say is that he likes to throw the largest Red Eye Wiggler for muskies a lot, and the only way he can give it the right action is to use a spinning reel. He uses baitcasters for most other things.

As far as Schram goes, I also have never met him. I have only seen him on many of Pete and John's shows the last year or two and just never liked him from the beginning. He never has anything knowledgeable or intelligent to say, and appeared to only be on TV due to his famous "connections". Reading this now and hearing all your opinions has just reinforced what I already thought about the guy.
Does anyone know just how, or why, he knows Maina and Gillespie and they give him all these opportunities for sponsorship and advertising his guiding business? You would think the way he comes off as such an arrogant clown that these guys wouldn't want to associate with him.
I've tried to give folks the benefit of the doubt lately. And in reading those threads posted earlier, I wanted to think that he was just really enthusiastic about the place he fishes.
Even though it was obvious he was full of s&&t sometimes people embellish about fishing and their mouths get ahead of their brains.
When he made threats in that one post that was enough for me to discount him as a complete jackass that doesn't need one millisecond of my time should I ever "meet" him. What a douche.
Trust me, I'll never understand why TNB wants someone like Schram involved. Just like I don't understand why Saric has Hurlbert on his show constantly. Both guys are egomaniacs with way to much of a cocky attitude.
Who knows… Maybe they increase ratings for the youth or younger generation of upcoming anglers??? Maybe Pete is living through Schrams so-called "music career". I just don't know how this kid can be taking seriously… The problem is Schram never knows when to let up. You have just seen 1 post that Jim highlighted. There's many many more out there that would shock you. I still can't beleive he's guiding…
I didn't realize he caught his first muskie in 09' must have been confused with tauchen.
And whats wrong with Hulbert? Ive never met him, but I would think he has a lot more credibility than Schram and is a lot better musky guy than him.
At least when he is on muskyhunter shows he does a majority of the talking on what they are doing
