Temp still 60-62
Other than Matty not much success out here lately. Like Bob my friend Dale was also out all day Monday without seeing a fish. He noticed that the thermocline was still holding at 20+ feet and there were lots of bait fish balled up down there out deep.
Wednesday I caught a 37.5 off the outer weed edge on a bucktail. Milestone fish for me as the first one ever to eat on the 8. All previous follows have just shown me the tail as they turn away. Admit that I snoozed on another, same bucktail, got distracted and left the bait hanging in the water, turned back and there was a fish sitting there looking at it. Started an 8 and it turned away as usual. Throwing back and changing bait could not get it to return.
