Fished Black Lake on Friday from 3:00 until dark. strong S wind made for quick drifts & reloads over spots and a good full body workout keeping balance in the waves. One 40ish unidentified esox rolled over a bucktail, plus a couple big bass and a walleye to show for it. Water a lovely 64 degrees. The new Black River DNR launch is no where near open or usable yet.
Saturday on the lower Tahquamenon was decent with a few small fish plus a real good one lost after several seconds. Would have liked to get a better look at it to know for sure, but it hurt a little. Sitting right in a prime spot and took 4 casts through before it finally crushed swimbait. Water was 62
Back on Black Sunday afternoon in another big S wind. another core workout was the only accomplishment
