Weather turned pleasant for a change on black Friday. Temps didn't get above the low 30s but the wind was minimal to non existent at times, which made for perfect casting conditions this time of year. Fished from 8am until about 4pm. Had a hard time finding bait to cast at on my usual spots, so I had to do a little running around until I found it. Had one follow around midday off a crib on a shallow break from the biggest lake trout I've ever seen. Had to be at least a mid-30" fish that looked like a giant bowling ball with a tail. No muskie contacts, but it was an enjoyable day on the water. Hopefully this weather holds above freezing for a few more weeks so I can get back out a few more times before everything locks up.
