Water temp: 71-72
Clarity: Abnormally clear but still the usual dark bottom stain.
Weed growth: Deep cabbage coming in nicely. Shallow milfoil/coontail getting thick.
Split the day between two lakes on the upper. Perfect weather conditions with heavy cloud cover and light rain on and off all day and the fishing did not disappoint. Got a fish on both lakes to the net, one mid 40s around mid afternoon and one in the 50" class later that evening in the heavy rain…unfortunately I pulled the classic rookie mistake of hooking the bait to the side of the net while trying to net the big one and she thrashed herself off at the side of the boat. Was pretty sad about it, as it would have been a PB, but I know where she lives now so I'll be back.
