Water is up 2-3 ft with all the rain we had making it look like chocolate milk. About a foot of visibility. Weeds are still sparse.
I had one follow and one hit a bucktail. Both fish were shallow.

Well done to get contact. I went yesterday with a new guy, foolishly telling him of very good chances on my favorite lake. No sign of life in ample casting and trolling. We did snag him a Believer and a Depth Raider together, for his new collection. Then I hung a favorite custom bait on something solid that felt like the top of a large appliance as I banged on it with the net, trying to grab the lure. Then the net was hopelessly snagged too, on the face of whatever it was. Determined not to lose a $40 bait and $150 net, I gave it all I had with my partner holding onto me. Finally the hooks bent out, a muddy victory.

It was ridiculous, but so is muskie fishing.
