Surface temp 41-43, deep weeds evident on graph, water clear except significant globs of floating filth in parts of north end. Fished 845am to 515pm, trying to stick it out for a chance at a good fish. Also hadn't been here in a long time and weather was good to probably wrap up the boating season with a legit effort.

Got a respectable pike mid-morning then got the only musky contact around 1pm and got it in the bag, 4o inches about on the nose. Was excited about the moonrise near sunset for a nice fish chance but moved no fish then. At the landing the other boat on the lake returned, didn't recognize them as MMA guys I knew but seemed like good fisherman. They had some action through the day and got a 48" pig around 430pm, just a beautiful fish in the pic, really heavy as we'd expect from this lake for a big Dec fish. She was the PB for the thrilled guy that caught her.

Most bait looked like it was in the north region of the lake where I got the pike and musky and they got the big 48.

Nice report! Looked like a great weekend to be out before the coming arctic blast.

Thanks for the report. I saw it on my way to the lake yesterday!

Same conditions yesterday afternoon. I was there from 3PM-ish till 7PM. The super Moon rise was spectacular, and allowed me to fish for a little while after sunset.

Pretty much the same action that you experience other than none made the net. A small handful of pretty lazy sniffers out there, and nothing to show for it.

Was hoping for some of that solunar chart love last night, but as usual weather was king and was not my friend…

Fished Murray today from 1-4:30pm. Water temps were around 38-40, but it wasn't too bad out there as the air temp wasn't that cold. Hoping to fish it once more before putting the boat away.

I went out this afternoon for a few hours. Water temps are decreasing slowly, with a bit of ice in the way back spots, but pretty clear otherwise. I did have to launch at the east launch because someone had launched on the west side and left his truck and trailer in the water. I informed him politely that his idea wasn't a great one…
Missed on one short fish in 3+hours, but did find a little activity in places I haven't seen fish before. Somewhat dirty water is definitely the key, cuz the rest is still 15' of visibility.
