Spent almost a week on this crazy body of water with steve Pedersen for the PMTT championship. We pre fished Monday thru Friday and had a small amount of action but nothing in the boat. One lost boatside a few follows and pulled the bait from one to catch it during the tournament. The weather all week was brutal with 90+ temps and zero clouds which carried through the weekend and made for an extremely tough bite. We had some confidence going in but we just couldn't put it together for the tournament and ended up with one follow each day and no bites. In total there were 13 fish caught between 8 teams so if you weren't on the fish then you definitely were going to have a hard time. All in all it was a great experience and a nice opportunity to explore a new lake. Minnetonka is covered with mansions and million dollar homes and the boat traffic can get very very busy. If your ever visit there I would recommend staying at the Chanhassen Inn. The rooms are clean, walking distance to restaurants, and they are boat friendly. Great lodging price too.
