Water temps: high 40's – mid 50's

Took a trip down south to Melton hill lake near Oak Ridge, TN and had a great trip! Mostly went to break in the new boat and motor but why not do that on a body of water with giant muskies!?!?

It didn't take long to break the ice in the new ride, stuck an upper 30's fish on a glide bait about 2 hours into day 1. Saw one other fish on day one on two separate occasions. I would estimate her at 43-44" and she went around in the eight 3 or 4 times the second time we had her up. Of course on a glide bait and couldn't get her to commit. Day 2 was a heart breaker as we lost an absolute tank right at the net…..A fish that was legitimately north of 50" by more than an inch or two….the type of fish that you won't ever forget about [smilie=bangtard.gif]

Great first trip of the year and if anyone is interested in some more info about this kind of trip, I'm happy to help!
