Water surface temp 68
water clarity 6'

Fished the south shore with Brad G and Drew R from 6:45 am to 6:00 pm. Found scattered bait from 12' fow to 17' fow, which means we did long drifts. Threw rubber and blades all day. Same old routine as always on LSC, we had a good window from 7:00 until 11:00, then nothing until 4:15. We moved a decent number of fish, with 5 bites. The fish that hit the bag were 49.5", 50.25", and 50.5". With the lake fishing as tough as it has, we were really blessed to contact the fish we did. As water temps start coming up, the fish should start grouping up and chowing. That said, I don't know how much VHS has impacted the lake, but I don't think it was an overly significant event. I suppose time will tell. For now, I'd say the water is still cold and that has been making the fishing tough.
