Spent a week in gods country fishing with my wife. Water temps ranged from 66-78. Started at the Tahquamenon the first afternoon and moved west from there. Hit some lakes in Hiawatha before staying in Iron river or the rest of the trip. We found muskies in 8 different bodies of water, our naturally reproducing populations are doing just fine. Anyways the wife had the front of the boat and guidance in the form of the peanut gallery chirping at her from the back deck, she managed to finish 3 novels, catch some rays, and boat 2 muskies casting, both setting PBs. One was a wicked looking tanic water tiger muskie which was amazing although I was a little jealous as I had always wanted a UP tiger. Then I managed to catch my own tiger a couple hours later! We boated a total of 12 muskies over 30" and a couple other babies on everything from ripping bulldawgs around deep weeds on a clear lake to twitching shallow cranks and throwing bright bucktails on the tanic stained lakes. Didn't find anything big this trip but that's somewhat expected up there. Wish we coulda stayed longer.
