My 1st trip here. I was fishing out of my canoe, so I decided to file down the barbs on a few lures, for safer and easier releases. It cost me two fish in the high 30's / low 40's as they threw the hook with a little effort.
I did however manage to get a 30 incher in the boat. We caught a few nice pike as well. A nice little lake!

hey Walt you say you caught the pike in Kingston??? Aw dammit. They are not native there and that is not going to help an already top heavy predator-prey balance.

[smilie=brickwall.gif] Ok, I just talked to the boys in the boat that caught "the pike" and asked them if they were sure they were pike. Armed with the knowledge that pike were not native, they tell me they are not sure.
Then I showed them the KTD flyer in the box and they are sure it was a Northern Muskie. I told them I was ready to call out the National Guard!
