Wanted to get to the swap but had an afternoon family thing, and morning was perfect so visited Eagle a while, fishing 9am to 1pm. Water 43, water clear, weeds seasonal, clouds with calm winds and air temps seasonably cold, excellent conditions. Bite was good, with smaller fish action but also two from the 2010 class hitting the next, one my first here topping 40" (just barely). Had just put up up the trailered boat for the year so used the small jon-boat, I think it actually helps catch more fish for the time spent it's so stealthy, though not the safest bet moving around in it in winter clothes and boots. Getting a Mustang Survival suit for Christmas, been wanting one a long time for cold open water and early and late ice. This might wrap up the season given the forecast but concluded on a couple good outings after a year of mostly getting my bass kicked.
