Hit up Dollarville for a few hours on Thursday the 21'st. Temp 74-76, Visibility normal for the flooding. Headed for the water before checking in to the hotel and more importantly hitting up the Z lounge. One upper 30's and one lower 40's on one of the many bends. Second one ate on the eight after about 6 trips around. Pretty cool to see and not the norm in the river from my past experiences. Both fish on a showgirl converted to a single blade…….

Friday Morning- Had high hopes after the quick two fish from the night before. One mid 30's fish at the beginning of the morning then nothing all day.

Friday evening- Took the long boring drive on M-28 to Grassy. Temps in the shallow area where the launch is were at 80, dropped down to 76-78 once out on the main section. Had an upper 30's fish come in hot and eat a mini-medussa. Lots of follows before a low 40's ate on same mini……

Saturday morning- Once again high hopes after the previous evening were dashed again…….Grassy part Deaux produced doo…… One upper 20's fish 30 minuted in and then one or 2 follows for the remaining 5 or so hours. All fish came from 8-10 feet of water over weeds.

Saturday evening- Wanted a lil break so headed to Ishpeming and Deer Lake. Stopped off at Jaspers in Ishpeming for Burgers before. Good Double Bacons and surprisingly good IPA….will go back again….. First time at Deer Lake……Beautiful scenery awesome cliffs along shoreline…….non stop action tons of walleye.the majority aroung 15 inches with a few 20's and a 25 mixed in.. Healthy feisty Pike with a nice mid 30's fish. A beautiful place to fish and non stop action all night. Will definitely go back and just goes to show you how awesome some of our fisheries could be with different regs……

Sunday mid day/Evening-back to dollarville………… Another day with tons of contacts on 3 lower 40's brought in……..

Good Trip overall Evenings seemed better than mornings which is the opposite of what we have encountered before. Only saw one other boat on Dollarville and had Grassy to ourselves…. Also didnt get to hit up Pizza Place in Newberry …. [smilie=brickwall.gif]

Great trip! Congrats on a bunch of fish, and yes, great regulations can make for great fishing! And also thanks for a couple ideas on where to find some decent grub [smilie=cheers2.gif]

Awesome trip. I've thought about forgetting about muskies for once and making a trip up there looking for some trophy pike too. Also, I love me some Jasper Ridge.

Creek traveler is what Chris was referring to. I'm sure at times that little creek would get high enough for one of those little guys to go on a road trip.

Didn't even think of that…pretty sure it was a natural.
