Spent the day on skeg elk and benway. All these lakes suck FYI. Casted and trolled skeg for 5 hours. Algae bloom from torch has flowed down and made the water really green and reducing visibility. Had contact with one line 38" pike and that was it. Trolled elk for a few hours. Lots of baitfish everywhere on the south end but no contacts.
Benway casted for a few hours also to no avail. Good news is there is some great looking coontail where it normally is and I will go back in more favorable conditions and pick that apart surgically when I can. Boaters are still jackasses and I am reminded why I shouldn't fish the weekends around here. ANYONE CAN BUY A BOAT…
