Water temps from 74-78

Fished with Caleb all day Saturday and most of Sunday. We concentrated on the middle of the lake throwing rubber. Our 2 day total was 8 for 11. We only saw one really big fish, but lots of mid 40" visited us. Caleb tied his PB with a 47. IF you are having thoughts of trying your hand on LSC, now is the time! The middle of the lake and the south shore are always good. You can also find good numbers of fish around the Crocker/Spillway area, which is a short run and very accessible.

The water temps are up and their metabolism is cranking! If you find fish, and can grind it out, there will be a feeding window, and they will get to snapping! Go try it!

Nice! Joel and I fished the Canadian side launching at the Thames. We only put in around 12 hours of fishing time between Saturday and Sunday, but still had some action. Went 2 for 5 I believe over the weekend with the majority of the fish eating a ball licker pounder. I Wish we had a bigger boat and could explore a little more, but we knew we were on fish and just had to wait for those feeding windows.

that's some solid fishing right there. Congrats to Caleb on the 47" PB! We didn't encounter those kind of numbers in our 2 days, Saw around 10 each day, but did stick hooks into 3 48-52" fish but like usual if I'm involved only 1 made it into the boat. Pounders were best with 3 bites although a mag dawg got bit twice and 2 bites on medussas as well.

Crazy how easy it is to be on the fish or off the fish, some days out there you land right on them and other days it's a grind to find them.

Isn't Dad supposed to let the kid catch the big fish???

He usually does pretty well. I let him choose the first bait…. Caleb was 1-4, loosing 2 mid 40"ers on the 8, which just sucks! We all have a hate/love/hate relationship with LSC. [smilie=brickwall.gif]
